We have supported both large and small scale D&D projects, and have a detailed understanding of the demands of such projects. We have a thorough understanding and commitment to the varied and extensive regulatory requirements, and are experts in the Health & Safety and management aspects of these types of projects. We specialize in the design and performance of radiological surveys, and offer conventional, as well as state-of-the-art, patented survey and data management technology. One of the systems offered only by Millennium Services is called the Surface Contamination Monitor / Survey Information Management System (SCM/SIMS). This system allows us to perform the large area surface contamination surveys required during the characterization, remediation, and free release phases faster, more cost-effective, and with more accuracy and sensitivity than competitive technologies and methodologies. The Survey Information Management System (SIMS) software analyzes the data and generates understandable, objective survey reports which can be formatted as color-coded 2D or 3D graphics overlaid on drawings, maps, or photographs. Our technical depth includes a detailed knowledge and expertise with a wide variety of decontamination technologies and methodologies. We are experienced with strippable coatings, chemical decontamination, water blasting, scabbling, ice blasting, vacu-blasting, and many other techniques. This experience results in the selection and application of that approach most likely to yield the desired decontamination objectives. We have been involved in projects which have included the chemical decontamination of materials, such as lead; mechanical decontamination of steel, concrete and brick; building drain and ventilation system decontamination; laboratory and hot cell decontamination and removal; complete building dismantlement; and soil excavation. This expertise and experience, along with our access to proprietary technology, ensures the most cost-effective solution to most any D&D challenge.
